Boost Your Kids’ Talent at Forbes Town Center’s Creativity Camp

Forbes Town Center is making Tuesdays and Thursdays more fun and worthwhile for the kids as it opens its much-awaited community talent camp for talented youngsters this August and September.

Launched in partnership with Make Believe Productions, Forbes Town Center’s Creativity Camp offers kids the opportunity to harness their talents in theater, arts and crafts, and music through fun and learning-filled workshops.

Happening every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30PM to 4:30PM at the 2nd Floor of Eight Forbes Town Road, the community workshop will not only boost children’s creativity and talent in the field of theater, music and the arts, but will also give them the chance to learn more about the culture and traditions of different countries with its theme, Folktales Around the World.

Each class tackles a particular theme inspired by different cultural traditions and activities from countries around the world. Kids can take part in engaging workshops, where they will make traditional arts and crafts, move and groove to the beats of cultural music, and act out popular folktales, all inspired by the featured country.

Workshop topics include Henna Tattoos and Rama at Sita from India, Thai Elephant Embellishment and Why Elephants Have Long Trunks from Thailand, Drum Making and How the Moon Got in the Sky from Kenya, Tutu Skirts and Swords and The Nutcracker from Russia, Tambourine Making and How Hans Saved from Holland, Dreamcatcher-Making and The Legend of the Northern Lights from Alaska, Rainmaker and How the Kangaroo Got Her Pouch from Australia, Castanet Making and The Bear Prince from Mexico, and Parol Decoration and The Legend of the Fireflies from the Philippines.

Forbes Town Center’s Creativity Camp culminates in the children’s recital on September 29, where workshop participants will perform a fun dramatization of the different folktales they learned from their classes.

Parents looking to have their children join these fun and worthwhile community workshops can register their kids for only P1,000 per session. Registration is every Wednesday from 11AM-1pm and 3pm-6PM at the booth located near La Creperie at Burgos Circle, Forbes Town Center.
