Pop-Up Street at BGC

It’s like the food park of retail.
Pop-Up Street’s concept is simple. First, it aims to serve as an incubator for startups and online stores for new and young entrepreneurs to hone their brand and test the saleability of their products before they decide to set up an establishment in BGC. The city is the perfect location to test marketability because it is populated daily by close to a million residents, office workers, and visitors.

Apart from that, it provides an interim space for established brands to hold short-term campaigns or introduce new or seasonal products.
“In a sense, Pop-Up Street also brings people together as a community of passionate entrepreneurs and excited shoppers who share the same appreciation for this kind of lifestyle. It has the added value of being outdoors, which gives off that enjoying-a-park vibe. This is certainly a good option to spend free time or weekends at,” said Francesca Padilla, BGC’s Marketing & Community Relations Officer.

Among the first locators currently at Pop-Up Street is Ethan Cash Sneaker Lounge, a team of experts on shoe restoration who promise to remove stains, straighten creases, and do everything to make kicks look new again.

Since shoppers today are into social enterprises or companies that give back to the community, Pop-Up Street allotted space for AKABA, a fair-trade business that makes quality handwoven bags from Filipino indigenous textiles. AKABA’s customers carry stylish knapsacks or tote bags while giving back to the artisan Filipinos who work hard in production.

Apart from these retail brands, food establishments have also set up shop at Pop-Up Street. XOXO Ice Cream, which originated in Bali, serves handcrafted ice cream in unique flavors, while Black Wagyu is cooking imported yet affordable mouthwatering Japanese beef cubes.

“We are inviting everyone to come check out Pop-Up Street and have a truly novel shopping experience only here in Bonifacio Global City. It’s a place to find new products to love and, of course, to support entrepreneurship,” Padilla said.
As brands lease for short periods of time only, there’s always something new to offer for shoppers. Pop-Up Street is located along Bonifacio High Street near 7th Avenue.
