Globe holds first-ever Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup Philippine Finals

Two PH eSports teams will represent the country in the regional finals

Top grossing mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is sweeping the mobile gaming community, turning even the most casual of gamers to hardcore fans. To date, the Philippines is one of the top countries that play the game in Southeast Asia. This year, the country’s number 1 mobile brand Globe, together with Mobile Legends developer Moonton, will look for the best team in the region through the first-ever Southeast Asia Cup Philippine Finals!

To join the cup, 128 teams joined the ongoing Philippine Online Qualifier. The top four teams will proceed to a national offline event on July 29, 2017, where the top two teams will advance to the Southeast Asia Finals. Cash prizes at stake are PHP 126,000 for the Philippine champion team, PHP 50,000 for the first runner-up and PHP 25,000 each for the 2nd and 3rd runners-up.

The event will be held at Glorietta Activity Center, and will be open to the public free of charge. Globe, the official telecommunications partner of the Philippine leg, will have booths and activities for guests. They will also distribute a 3-day Double BB Card, 3-Day Double EXP card, and 10 pieces of Mobile Legends Rare Skin Fragments, including the limited edition Layla character skin to Globe customers who participate in the booth activities.

The winners of the offline event will join other players from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand in August for the regional finals, where only one team will emerge victorious. The winner will take home a cash prize and the glory of becoming Southeast Asia’s best team.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game that lets players choose an avatar and form teams, which they can use to reach and destroy an enemy’s base while protecting their own.
