Big celebration awaits thousands of overseas Filipino workers and their families this Saturday (December 19) as SM Supermalls, SM Development Corporation (SMDC) and BDO partner for the biggest annual OFW Christmas party via the “4th Pamaskong Handog Para Sa Global Pinoy” that is set to happen in select SM malls nationwide.

Joining the homecoming festivities are some of the country’s brightest celebrities including Piolo Pascual who will be at SM City Taytay and SM City Masinag, James Reid and Nadine Lustre at SM City Fairview, Sam Milby at SM Center Muntinlupa and SM City Sta. Rosa, JayR at SM City Dasmariñas and SM City Bacoor, and ABS-CBN teen stars Loisa Andalio, Marlo Mortel and Joshua Garcia at SM City Bicutan.

This year’s theme is all about celebrating the things that OFWs miss about home while they were away--from watching their favorite teleseryes, to eating their favorite home-style Filipino meals. SM will hold raffle draws, food bazaars, and a special AVP showcasing greetings from OFWs around the world, spreading their love and gratitude for their families.

“The holidays are all about bringing families together. We understand how much this means to our dear OFWs. They deserve nothing less for all the hard work they put in just to provide a good living for their families and to help our economy. This is our way of thanking them and making them feel the love and joy of spending Christmas back here in the Philippines,” says Jonjon San Agustin, SM Supermalls’ senior vice president for marketing.

SM Global Pinoy cardholders or BDO Kabayan Savings account holders can come and join in the party with four family members each. There are also exclusive promos and deals just for OFWs, like a 10% discount with a minimum P2,000 single receipt purchase with any valid OFW ID, and a free Kabayan VIP shopping card upon entrance to the Pamaskong Handog festivities.

The SM Global Pinoy program is an initiative of SM Supermalls, under its SM Cares program. It aims to provide accessible and convenient services to Filipinos worldwide. Among the services offered are remittance sending and pick-up, free international calls, hassle free foreign exchange, and exclusive treats and rewards from partner establishments.
