‘Daza Way You Cook It, presented by MAGGI’ spreads homemade happiness

Happiness is homemade.
You don’t have to look too far or spend a ludicrous amount of money to experience happiness. It can be found in life’s simple pleasures and right at your very own home through every day cooking.
MAGGI, together with culinary expert Chef Sandy Daza, invited pairs of kids and kids-at-heart to “Daza Way You Cook It, presented by MAGGI” recently held at The Cookery Place in BGC, to experience homemade happiness by not just eating good food together but also in preparing meals and having magically beautiful moments in the kitchen. Chef Sandy demonstrated easy-to-prepare meals, such as fried rice and chicken chorizo, to the guests who formed a stronger bond while having an adventure in the kitchen.

“The dishes do not even have to be complicated nor expensive for it to be a source of happiness at home. Eating a delicious meal inspires happiness but you also create precious memories when you prepare and cook together. You create happy moments that you can always go back to,” Chef Sandy explained.
The participants not only enjoyed the tasty homemade meals but also learned cooking techniques and took part in a delightful cooking experience with their loved ones. After all, homemade meals are not only fresher, healthier and tastier, but also create the best family moments.
Apart from inspiring homemade happiness, MAGGI also champions preparing balanced meals that are not only delicious but also healthy for the family. In fact, MAGGI has started an initiative in 2014 to train and empower mothers to prepare tasty, nutritious, and budget-friendly meals.
“We have been conducting MAGGI Sarap Sustansya Caravan, a five-day event that visits communities, designed to educate and equip Filipino mothers with good kitchen practices and habits. Our goal is to build a community of mothers that thoughtfully ensure the right balance of taste and nutrition in the family dining table,” Geetha Balakrishna, MAGGI Food Business Executive Manager, said.

MAGGI also showcased products that enable families to enjoy more home cooked goodness and homemade happiness together. These include MAGGI Magic Sarap, the all-in-one seasoning granules made with fresh ingredients and other spices that help bring out the delicious taste of the dishes; MAGGI Magic Sinigang, a powdered sinigang mix that gives a delicious fruity asim taste; MAGGI Oyster Sauce, a sauce that adds rich flavor to dishes; and MAGGI Savor, a seasoning that comes in Classic, Garlic, Calamansi, Hot Chili and Chilimansi flavors, that liven up the flavor of meat dishes.

Scientific fact: Women are more attracted to men with facial hair

Science says it. Men with facial hair are more attractive. A study in the 70s and two more recent ones conducted by Neave and Shields in 2008 and Dixson and Brooks in 2013 all came up with the same conclusion: Most women find men with a stubble or a five-o’clock shadow very, very attractive.   Although the women’s perception of male attractiveness changed according to the amount and length of men’s facial hair, most women in the study found men with a moderate amount of facial hair to be the most attractive. Some women did prefer men with no facial hair, but to the majority, men with no facial hair were not very attractive and seemed the least likely romantic partners. Women perceived full bearded men to be aggressive, more mature and a bit too much to handle.
