New MAGGI MAGIC SARAP millionaires awarded

The MAGGI Sarap ng Nakain, Sarap Magka-Milyon with Magic raffle promo grand winners flew to Metro Manila to claim their P1 million cash prize. The winners (second from left) Manny Villarosa (Visayas), Jannet Salazar (Mindanao), Renamie Estrada (NCR) and Heidi Tuliao (Luzon) are flanked by Nestlé executives Geetha Balakrishna and Jag Villapando.
Celebrating a decade of magical cooking, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP recently awarded four (4) lucky grand winners of P1 million for its “MAGGI Sarap ng Nakain, Sarap Magka-Milyon with Magic: Isang pa-thank you sa 10 years ng pagluluto ng ligaya”raffle promoA grand winner of the million-peso top prize was each drawn for Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and the National Capital Region (NCR).

The grand prize winners of P1 million each are Heidi Tuliao of Pangasinan (Luzon), Manny Villarosa of Cebu (Visayas), Jannet Salazar of Zamboanga City (Mindanao), and Renamie Estrada of Manila (NCR). The new millionaires from the provinces flew to Manila to formally receive their prizes at the Nestlé headquarters in Makati City.

Luzon winner Heidi Tuliao, a barangay nutritionist who would help out in feeding the Day Care Center pupils, did not expect that the simple act of cooking for the kids and her family would get her the grand prize.

I love cooking sinigang andginataan using MAGGI MAGIC SARAP for my family. There’s eight of us at home. I live in my parents’ family house together with my siblings),” Heidi said.

Heidi plans to help out her family in Pangasinan with the cash prize.

Gagamitin ko rin pong puhunan para sa lupa at makapagsaka kami (We plan to build our very own house, one that will no longer be flooded since we currently live in Calasiao, a flood-prone area. I will also use the money for farming)," she happily shared.

For Manny Villarosa, who hails from Cebu, the P1 million cash prize is a welcome blessing, especially now that his family is growing.

A father of two grown daughters, Manny, who works as an assembler of motorcycles, could not believe his luck. “Nagbakasakali lang kaming sumali. Maliliit pa mga anak namin kaya kailangang pagtulung-tulungan (We just tried our luck. Our children are still very young so we needed to work together on this),” Manny said. He’s a loyal MAGGI MAGIC SARAP user who would always use the product when they still had a carinderia serving customer favorites like pinakbet andsinigang.

The Cebuano is planning to save his prize money for his growing family and keep the rest in the bank.

Isi-save ko sa bangko at mag-plano pa. Dapat hindi padalos-dalos. Kasi baka hindi mo mamalayan, ubos na (I will save the cash prize, spend it wisely, and plan for the future carefully. You’ll never know when the money will run out),” the Visayas grand winner wisely stated.

Jannet Salazar, a housewife and mother of two, would dutifully cook dishes like sinigang and fried fish for her husband Felimon and her children every day.

Gusto ko na ring magkaroon ng negosyo (I was enticed by a neighbor to join. I was really praying to win so we could build a new house. The house we’re currently living in is small. I would also like to start a business),” Jannet, a native of Mindanao, shared. Now, because of the promo, her dreams are about to be fulfilled.

Winning the grand prize of P1 million was an intensely personal experience for Renamie Estrada of NCR. The mother of five went to Star City to witness the grand draw and when she heard her name as one of the grand winners, she jumped for joy!

(I use MAGGI MAGIC SARAP when I cook fried rice and dishes. If there’s no other food on the table, I put MAGGI MAGIC SARAP on fried rice to make it tasty enough!),"she relayed.

Renamie is dedicating her prize to the family.

Tapos ibabangko ko para sa pag-aaral ng mga anak ko (We intend to build and fix our house because it’s dilapidated. I’ll also save the prize money in the bank for my children’s education), she said, beaming.

Apart from the four grand winners of P1 million, the “MAGGI Sarap ng Nakain, Sarap Magka-Milyon with Magic” raffle promo also gave away P10,000 in consolation prizes to five winners in NCR, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The promo also gave a chance for loyal customers of MAGGI nationwide to win cash prizes on a weekly basis.

Scientific fact: Women are more attracted to men with facial hair

Science says it. Men with facial hair are more attractive. A study in the 70s and two more recent ones conducted by Neave and Shields in 2008 and Dixson and Brooks in 2013 all came up with the same conclusion: Most women find men with a stubble or a five-o’clock shadow very, very attractive.   Although the women’s perception of male attractiveness changed according to the amount and length of men’s facial hair, most women in the study found men with a moderate amount of facial hair to be the most attractive. Some women did prefer men with no facial hair, but to the majority, men with no facial hair were not very attractive and seemed the least likely romantic partners. Women perceived full bearded men to be aggressive, more mature and a bit too much to handle.
