P&G Agos Puso at Kalinga Caravan Goes to Cebu 4Ps Families

According to DSWD, Cebu have the highest number of poor households in Region 7. This is based on DSWD Region 7's "Listahan 3" poverty database, which identified that 48% of the 453,961 households in Region 7 came from Cebu. Cebu City alone has 11,805 identified poor households.

P&G partnered with Manila Water Foundation to provide basic health and hygiene solutions to DSWD's Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) families in the province.

The Agos Puso at Kalinga Caravan delivered health and hygiene kits to 9 key locations in Cebu which includes the municipalities of Consolacion, Carmen, Liloan, Brgy. Inayawan in Cebu City. The caravan distributed laundry and hair care products, including Ariel and Tide laundry detergent and Rejoice Shampoo.

The caravan also reached institutions such as the Basilica del Sto Nino Children's Welfare Foundation, Sto Nino de Cebu Augustinian Social Development Foundation, Missionaries of Charity Gasa sa Gugma, Home for the Dying Destitute, Cebu Cancer Institute, and Kythe Foundation Cebu.

"We thank P&G for this support, which helps the 4Ps families save up and lessen expenses, especially since classes here started. The family's clothing will surely smell fresh and clean," said Benjamin Tibon, Consolacion Municipal Administrator.

The caravan is a testament to P&Gs commitment to being a Force for Growth and Force for Good in the country by championing water access, sanitation, and hygiene for the benefit of public health.

"We are committed to being a Force for Growth and A Force for Good. Through our partnership, our goal is to provide superior health and hygiene products to Filipinos and improve the health and well-being of the communities we touch," said King Martin Agoncillo, Corporate Communications Manager at P&G.

Since 2019, P&G and MWFs strong partnership has reached millions of Filipinos through health and hygiene programs in schools, rural communities, and underserved communities across the country. In 2022, P&G and MWF turned over handwashing facilities to 285 schools in NCR and Rizal under #SAFEWash, which benefitted over 770,000 students, teachers, and staff to in-person classes in NCR and Rizal.

Scientific fact: Women are more attracted to men with facial hair

Science says it. Men with facial hair are more attractive. A study in the 70s and two more recent ones conducted by Neave and Shields in 2008 and Dixson and Brooks in 2013 all came up with the same conclusion: Most women find men with a stubble or a five-o’clock shadow very, very attractive.   Although the women’s perception of male attractiveness changed according to the amount and length of men’s facial hair, most women in the study found men with a moderate amount of facial hair to be the most attractive. Some women did prefer men with no facial hair, but to the majority, men with no facial hair were not very attractive and seemed the least likely romantic partners. Women perceived full bearded men to be aggressive, more mature and a bit too much to handle.
