OPPO x ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan Charity Photo Contest

Mobile leader OPPO is turning 2019 green—with the recent release of the best-selling F9 in a stunning Jade Green colorway and the launch of its Charity Photo Contest to benefit Bantay Kalikasan and the La Mesa Watershed.

Through the F9’s new, unique gradient of white and green, OPPO is celebrating the beautiful hues of white-sand beaches, clear waters, and the lush rainforests of the Philippines. And to take its tribute to the beauty of the Philippine islands to the next level, the mobile leader has partnered with environmental organization Bantay Kalikasan.

“OPPO is inspired to help work towards protecting and preserving the country’s natural beauty, and a partnership with Bantay Kalikasan brings us closer to that goal,” said Jane Wan, OPPO Philippines VP for Marketing.

Choose, share, plant trees—and win your very own OPPO F9 in Jade Green!
A highlight of the OPPO and Bantay Kalikasan partnership is the Charity Photo Contest, which will bring together three photographers who traveled across the Philippines to capture our islands’ unique locales, cultures, stories, and people. Each photographer has produced five photos on specific themes using the OPPO F9 Jade Green. These photos will be posted on an online gallery that voters can access via OPPO Philippines’ Facebook page starting January 12, 2019.

From this date, the public can choose their favorite photos, vote for their choices, and share on their respective social media accounts. You can only vote for and share one photo per day until the end of the contest on January 31, 2019.

Votes and shares can go a long way, as OPPO Philippines will donate one peso for each vote and share to Bantay Kalikasan’s efforts to plant approximately three hectares of trees at the La Mesa Watershed, which is Metro Manila’s only major watershed that acts as a natural drain for heavy rains and overflowing rivers.  The total number of votes and shares will be tallied during the end of the contest duration—so make sure to vote and share every day to contribute to the total donation, and use the official hashtags #OPPOCharity and #OPPOF9JadeGreen.

Furthermore, OPPO Philippines will be giving away three voter-sharers a brand-new OPPO F9 in Jade Green each in a raffle after the competition duration. The photographer with the photos that garnered the most votes and shares will be announced on OPPO Philippines’ social media pages.

The OPPO F9 also comes with a 16 MP + 2MP dual rear camera for dramatic portrait shots and a host of exciting picture modes such as AR stickers, Super Vivid, and slow motion to enable creativity and the production of beautifully unique image content. Scientific fact: Women are more attracted to men with facial hair

Science says it. Men with facial hair are more attractive. A study in the 70s and two more recent ones conducted by Neave and Shields in 2008 and Dixson and Brooks in 2013 all came up with the same conclusion: Most women find men with a stubble or a five-o’clock shadow very, very attractive.   Although the women’s perception of male attractiveness changed according to the amount and length of men’s facial hair, most women in the study found men with a moderate amount of facial hair to be the most attractive. Some women did prefer men with no facial hair, but to the majority, men with no facial hair were not very attractive and seemed the least likely romantic partners. Women perceived full bearded men to be aggressive, more mature and a bit too much to handle.
