Every year during the Yuletide season, the Bears of Joy are offered as a dual-purpose gift idea to shoppers who wish to extend their blessings outside of the family and close friends through charity. For every purchase of the special edition SM cuddly teddy bear, another toy bear will be given to a child from a community where SM operates.
What makes this year’s Bears of Joy special is its new look that will make most people feel nostalgic. The new edition of SM’s bears bring back the charm of the classic brown, scruffy yet loveable teddy bear that grownups are more familiar with. In the same token, SM wishes to bring back that feeling of warmth that every child feels when they hug a Bear of Joy.
Last year, SM and its customers were able to give more than 16,000 Bears of Joy to 47 communities throughout the country. This year, the company wishes to share more through the generous participation of SM shoppers.
